1.An elderly Arab sheik wants to give his wealth to one of his two sons. He declares that his two sons will participate in a camel race; whichever camel finishes last will win the fortune for its owner. During the race, the two brothers wander endlessly, neither willing to reach the finish line. Ultimately, they ask a wise man for advice. He gives them a word of advice and they both suddenly leap onto the camels and head towards the finish line. What did the wise man say?

He told them to switch camels.



2.There is a coin in an empty bottle and a cork in the bottle's neck. Describe a way to remove the coin without removing the cork or breaking the bottle.

4.Your assignment is to design an landscape where four trees are all equidistant from each other. How should the trees be arranged?

5.The cooking time for a recipe is exactly 15 minutes. Explain how to precisely measure the time with a 7-minute and a 11-minute hourglass.

Step 1. Start both hourglasses simultaneously.

Step 2. Turn the 7-minute hourglass when it runs out.

Step 3. Turn the 7-minute hourglass again, four minutes later, when the 11-minute hourglass runs out.
